Simone Heng is a broadcasting talent with rare global appeal. She has worked as a broadcaster in Australia, Asia and the Middle East for brands like Virgin Radio, HBO Asia, Southern Cross Austereo and CNN. She is currently based in Singapore and is on air with Class 95FM where her role in radio means she actively straddles, and is a keen observer of, both traditional and new media.
Simone’s live speaking and hosting skills have been employed by some of the most exciting and high profile lifestyle events on the planet, including the 8th University Scholars Leadership Symposium at the United Nations in 2017, the launch of the world’s tallest hotel, The JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, The World Travel Awards, The Dubai International Film Festival, The Prudential Art Awards, The Singapore International Film Festival and The Asian Business Leaders Forum Awards. She has captivated audience members that have included ambassadors, United Nations youth leaders, heads of state, knights of the British Empire and international celebrities.
She began her career in Singapore in 2005 as an entertainment TV host for regional cable network, HBO Asia. In late 2008 she was offered a package to move to Dubai where she went on to establish herself as an announcer for Virgin Radio International as part of its heavily buzzed-about Dubai station. During her 5 years in Dubai, Simone also hosted CNN International’s “CNN Go” luxury special and was nominated as Personality of the Year in the Best in Dubai Awards, three years in a row.
